Us
Zest Fresh Juice Bars opened their first retail store in the Grand Bazar
Shopping Centre in Antwerp, Belgium in the autumn of 2006.
We offer our customer fresh health juices and delicious smoothies in our
Fresh Juice Bar Outlets. Why not call in and watch us create your drink while you wait.
You will see us press the juice right in front of your very eyes and whiz
up your blend to create a fantastic juice or smoothie!
Why
Zest?

The Zest product is a menu of various recipes which include fresh fruit
juice, vegetable juice, smoothies and optional extra boosts.
• The product is fast, healthy, energy giving and packed full of
vitamins, live enzymes and nutrients.
• All our products are created on-site.
• We only use fresh produce and we offer a fast service offering
our customers value for money.
• Our menu changes on a seasonal basis ensuring that we are offering
innovational products that reflect market demand.
• We do not use syrups, pasteurised juices or sugar.
• We do not cut corners when choosing our ingredients and we believe
that if it's not freshly pressed it's not worth drinking’!
History
of Zest:
Co-founder Ken Kinsella first saw the concept in Australia in 1995. He
was at a beach on the east coast and came across a hut that sold fresh
juice. He ordered a melon juice and couldn’t believe how refreshing
it was. Not to mention how good he felt after consuming this mouth watering
healthy beverage. For many years he studied the concept in North America,
Spain, United Kingdom and Ireland where he is from and slowly built up
the perfect concept in his own mind.
‘There were so many juice bars that I visited that had a great
concept but let themselves down with the ingredients and in many cases
hygiene. There were also many juice bars whose ingredients were excellent
and fresh but they were unable to conceptualise it. There are few juice
bars in the world who have managed to get both elements of this concept
right"

Kens old friend and co-founder Colm O’Brien has lived and worked
in Belgium since 1992. He ran a restaurant in the heart of Brussels and
after a visit from Ken they discussed retail opportunities in Belgium.
‘We realised that the juice bar concept had not taken flight
in this region so we put a business plan together and after one presentation
to a property management company we were offered a site in Antwerp"

Today:
Our
first store and the next five stores after that have been an incredible
success.
‘People want healthy fast food. The sandwich chains are offering
low fat sandwiches but they offer little nutritional value and they don’t
really help people consume the vitamins and minerals that they need. Zest
is helping to fill that gap. Our juices have become a meal replacement
as well as a healthy tasty delicious drink"

We now have six juice bars operating in Belgium and have plans to expand
throughout the Benelux region and into the rest of Europe over the next
few years.
